| INDIVIDUAL
STUDY PROGRAM
This
Program is designed for high school, college, and young professionals
(age 14 and up), and includes individual lessons, master classes,
and orchestral training. The students have opportunity to perform solo
works as well as participate in an inspiring chamber orchestra setting.
This
year we are adding 2 NEW INDIVIDUAL STUDY PROGRAMS,
Conducting and Composition. See below for more info.
Piano
and Voice Departments
•
Four individual lessons and one chamber music coaching
• Performing opportunities (by
audition)
• Daily events: individual lessons, daily practicing,
rehearsals, Master Classes, lectures, and concerts by distinguished faculty
and guest artists
• Eligibility to participate in Master Classes (on
teacher’s recommendation)
• Eligibility to participate in Final Recital (by
audition)
• Solo performance with Festival Orchestra (by
audition)
FEES:
1. Application Fee: $100 (non refundable)
2. Tuition Fee: $1,200
3. Room and Board:
- Hotel
accommodations
Two meals per day (Lunch & Dinner)
Double Occupancy $1,320; Single Occupancy - $2,240

NOT included for Los Angeles residents.

Students, who already participate in the programs of the Piano, Voice,
String, Woodwind Departments, have the opportunity to sign up for additional
composition and conducting lessons. Please inquire with the festival management.

and Woodwind Departments

Composition Department

• One hour Master Class

Rehearsal of one of your chamber music compositions by a participant
ensemble. This piece will considered for programming on a festival concert
• Daily events: practicing, rehearsals, Master
Classes, lectures, and concerts by distinguished faculty and guest artists
• Eligibility to be include on the program in Final
Recital (by audition)

audio CD with recordings (MIDI is ok) of three of their compositions (chamber
and/or orchestral).

Conducting Department

Four individual sessions
• Workshop
• Daily events: practicing, rehearsal, Master Classes,
lectures, and concerts by distinguished faculty and guest artists
• Eligibility to be included on the program in
Final Recital (by audition)

Applicants
to the Piano, Voice, Strings and Woodwind Departments
should submit a demo audio (CD) or DVD (Video)with three contrasting
works of their choice (clearly labeled and identified.)
Applicants
for the Composition Department should submit scores and
an audio CD with recordings (MIDI is ok) of three of their compositions
(chamber and/or orchestral).
Limited
Scholarships are available to qualified applicants.
Audition
materials must be received by March 30, 2010.
