KARIE PRESCOTT

Karie Prescott received a Bachelor's degree from the Curtis Institute of Music where she studied with Michael Tree and Karen Tuttle, and a Master's degree from the University of Michigan under the direction of Donald McInnes.

She has been a member of the Seattle Symphony, Pacific Symphony, and New World Symphonies, and has performed as principal violist for Mikhael Baryshnikov's White Oak Dance Project, American Ballet Theatre, New West Symphony, LA Mozart Orchestra, and the Los Angeles productions of Sunset Boulevard and Miss Saigon. She has soloed with the Seattle Symphony and American Ballet Theatre Orchestra, among others. Chamber music performances, including two "Music from Marlboro" tours, have taken her throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

Ms. Prescott enjoys a versatile career as soloist, chamber musician, and recording artist. She performs with the LA Philharmonic, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, as well as being a member of the LA Opera Orchestra.

Currently she is a faculty member at Pepperdine University, Malibu, California.
